Gather in the grace and forgiveness of our Lord's love, eternal life by our Savior Jesus Christ, and strengthen our faith with the Holy Spirit. We welcome our visitors to the Lord’s house and to the hearing of his life-giving Word. If you have no church home, we invite you to consider us. Enjoy the scenic small town of Cochrane as you travel between the Mississippi River and the Buffalo County bluffs where we see the natural beauty our Lord has provided.

Christ Lutheran Cochrane Letters Form The Pastor May 2023 Cochrane, WI
Easter season greetings from Pastor Wilde!
The springtime new life of trees and plants and grasses is a beautiful thing to see. It has often reminded Christians of the new life that we celebrate at Easter: Christ has risen from the dead.
His rising assures us that we also will one day rise from the dead to live with him forever in heaven. Alleluia!
We will have our Confirmation Day on Sunday, May 7. We have a class of two students: Hayden Engfer and Ava Goetting. We ask the Lord to bless them as they take this important step in their young lives of faith.
Sunday, May 14, is Mothers’ Day. We thank the Lord for the many blessings he has given us through our moms.
We will celebrate Ascension Day this year on Thursday, May 18, with a joint Ascension Day service here at Christ Lutheran. We will be joined by our fellow believers from St. Michael’s Lutheran, Fountain City. Service time is 6:30 PM. The Lord Jesus ascended back into heaven 40 days after he arose from the dead. Our celebration of that event is always the 40th day after Easter.
CFC graduation will be on Saturday, May 27. We do not have any church members in this year’s graduating class. We do want to keep in our prayers the families and friends of the two CFC students who lost their lives in the tragic car accident that occurred on April 10. May the God of all mercy and grace bring his comfort and consolation to all who mourn.
Memorial Day is May 29. We honor the national holiday by remembering all who gave their lives in service to our country. Many of us also use the day to remember our loved ones who fought the good fight of faith and now are at rest with the Lord.
As we enjoy the merry month of May, we ask the Lord to keep us in his care, both now and forever.
God’s grace and peace. Pastor Mark Wilde
Mission
Mission Statement of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church: It is the will of God: That we will all be his witnesses to spread the Good News that Jesus our Savior brought us peace with God through the forgiveness of sins for all people. That we proclaim the Law and Gospel as revealed in Holy Scriptures to lead all people to repent of sin and to believe in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose to give us eternal life. That we be strengthened in faith and Christian living by worship, communion, continuing instruction, prayer, and fellowship to be better stewards and witnesses.
Core Beliefs
Holy Week Devotions: As you prepare for Holy Week, MLC is once again providing a devotional resource. Titled "My Song is Love Unknown," these eight Holy Week devotions lead us deeper into the truths of Jesus’ love for us through the poetry, imagery, and music of Lent and Easter hymns. Links embedded in the devotions will allow you to hear the hymns performed for you by MLC College Choir, Chorale, Women’s Choir, Männerchor, Hosanna Ringers, Wind Symphony, and Professor Craig Hirschmann on the organ.
Prayer Requests & Help
Congregation members and non-members are encouraged to request prayers for times of need, comfort, healing, celebration and joy. Please contact Pastor Wilde to share your request with him.
